2. Grant of Rights

Subject to strict compliance with all conditions of this License, NEHONIX grants the Licensee the following rights:

2.1 Use

• Use of the Software for personal, educational, or commercial purposes.
• Execution of the Software on any compatible system.

2.2 Modification

• Modification of the Software to adapt it to specific needs.
• Creation of derivative works based on the Software.

2.3 Distribution

• Distribution of the original or modified Software to third parties.
• Integration of the Software into other projects, subject to conditions.

3. Mandatory Obligations of Licensee

3.1 Attribution and Proprietary Notice

For every source file utilizing NEHONIX code, the Licensee MUST include the following comment at the top of the file:

For languages without multi-line comments, adapt to the appropriate format (# for Python, // for certain languages, etc.).

3.2 Documentation of Ownership

The Licensee MUST:

• Include the original LICENSE file in any distribution.
• Reference NEHONIX in the README file or main documentation with the following text:

This project uses code developed by NEHONIX (www.nehonix.com)
under the NEHONIX Open Source License (NOSL) v1.0.

• Preserve all copyright and license notices present in the Software.

3.3 Contribution to Principal Project

Prior to using the code in another project, the Licensee MUST:

• Submit a Pull Request to the Principal Project for any significant modification or improvement.
• Allow reasonable time (30 days) for review by the NEHONIX team.
• This obligation does not apply to minor bug fixes or internal adaptations not distributed publicly.

3.4 Commercial and Marketing Use

For any commercial or marketing use of the Software, the Licensee MUST:

• Clearly display "Powered by NEHONIX" in:
  • Marketing materials (website, brochures, advertisements)
  • Product documentation
  • Commercial presentations
• Include the NEHONIX logo where visually appropriate (logo available upon request).
• Not suggest partnership or endorsement by NEHONIX without written authorization.

3.5 License Preservation

Any distribution of the Software, modified or not, MUST:

• Be conducted under this same License (NOSL v1.0).
• Include a complete copy of this License.
• Not impose additional restrictions on the rights granted herein.

4. Restrictions

4.1 Prohibitions

The Licensee SHALL NOT:

• Remove, modify, or obscure NEHONIX copyright and proprietary notices.
• Present the Software as their own work.
• Use the name, trademarks, or logos of NEHONIX without written authorization, except for required attribution.
• Modify the text of this License in distributed copies.

4.2 Prohibited Use

The Software SHALL NOT be used for:

• Illegal or malicious activities.
• Creation of weapons, mass surveillance systems, or harmful technologies.
• Violation of third-party intellectual property rights.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Reserved Rights

NEHONIX retains all intellectual property rights in the original Software. This License grants only a right to use and does not constitute a transfer of ownership.

5.2 Contributions

Contributions to the Principal Project may be submitted by any Licensee. By submitting a contribution, the Licensee grants NEHONIX a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, and distribute such contribution.

The Licensee agrees to indemnify and hold harmless NEHONIX from any liability arising from violation of this License.

7. Termination

Obligations concerning attribution, intellectual property, and confidentiality survive termination.

8. General Provisions

8.1 Governing Law

This License is governed by the laws of Côte d'Ivoire. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Yamoussoukro.

8.2 Severability

If any provision of this License is held invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

8.3 License Modification

NEHONIX reserves the right to publish revised versions of this License. Existing projects may continue under the original version or adopt the new version.

8.4 Language

The English version shall govern. Translations are provided for informational purposes only.
